Hello lovely lovelies, lovely friends♡ Spring, Spring, Spring 𝄞 ♫♫♪ That's the song that's being sung this last little while. It's a mellifluous song. It's a sweet song. It's a song where colours, scents and beauty are swirling and twirling in a cadent tune; here at my little place♡
As always Lady Spring has artfully daubed an explosion of colour and pattern everywhere. Giant brushstrokes of daffodils and diminutive brush works of blues and splotches of yellow of forget-me-nots. Lady Spring, painting verdant greens here and there on trees intermingling with the colours of the blossoms. Brushstrokes of bluebells, rhododendrons, wispy diosma, irises, granny bonnets, wisteria, lilacs......each and every exquisite flower adding to the colourful cavalcade that is spring♡
The florist here has been strolling in the garden in the early mornings and gathering blooms to cheer her day, and home♡

All the fusion squares are finished. The blanket stitching and crochet skipping around the perimeter of each square is done.
Because 'tis Sunday and the slow stitching party will be celebrating unhurried and meditative hand stitching, crochet, knitting, rug hooking etc etc I will continue to join the pretty fusion squares together forming the quilt. The joining of the squares by crochet is my favourite part of making a fusion quilt. Not only because the end is nigh. =)
Sending a little springtime love your way♡ Enjoy your day, lovely lovelies, lovely friends, joying in something that puts a smile into your day♡
Until the next time......

Pues sí que me has alegrdo el día con todas las fotos de flores, qué maravilla y la tienes en tu propia ccas.
ReplyDeleteTu colcha va muy bien, ya te falta poco.
BESICOS.
Yes indeedy, Pili, my home looks very much like a florist this time of the year. As for the quilt, fingers crossed it is finished very soon. Kim Xx
DeleteIt looks like your garden is exploding with blooms! So many beautiful flowers. The Waratah flowers are new to me. Do they only grow in Australia? Your new fusion quilt will most definitely be done by Christmas. It's coming along beautifully. Gail at the cozy quilter
ReplyDeleteLove all your beautiful flowers Kim, the perfume must be amazing! Your fusion squares are beautiful, well done on getting them to the join up stage.
ReplyDeleteso many beautiful flowers grace your home and outdoor spots and here on Sunday night we expect our first freeze for winter with it being down into the 20's which will be quite chilly from what we have had so far this autumn. Still having server issues with my blog so If I don't hear from you this week that is why! one day it will be figured out but technology is beyond me. Enjoy your beautiful spring
ReplyDeleteJust stunningly beautiful Kim. I know I have said this before but you really should make your flower photos in to cards - they would be so gorgeous. You are obviously behind us here, seasonally this is. As my daffs, lilacs, magnolias, bluebells & wisteria have long since finished. My iris's are hanging on by a thread. We are getting dry very fast here & it is worrying. xx
ReplyDeleteThere are so many gorgeous flowers in your garden, Kim, each variety as pretty as the others. I didn't know waratah flowers came in that deep dark dusty pink, I always thought they were bright red.
ReplyDeleteHi Kim
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful flowers, your pictures brighten up a Sunday morning here. So lovely to see, what a great verity you have.
Have a good week.
Best wishes Kay cxx
'Tis always a joy to brighten your little autumnal place with springtime flowers. Have a beautiful week, lovely Kay. Kim Xx

Your flowers look so lovely! We received our first snow of the season overnight, keep showing me pictures of flowers! Happy stitching!
ReplyDeleteAll these beautiful colours, so lovely to look at from a grey Sunday here!
ReplyDeleteLovely flowers! It's Autumn here so gardens are going to sleep for awhile. Oh, I love your crochet fusion squares! I made a crochet fusion of roses that I just love. I might have to make another full of other flowers now that I have been inspired by yours!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers to brighten another grey day here in UK. Thank you. Fusion quilt finish next week? It's looking lovely. xx
ReplyDeleteJust as our Southern New Mexico gardens are preparing to take a snooze, your gardens seem to be waking up! How fun - and beautiful! Your fusion quilt will be a lovely finish.
ReplyDeleteI always love seeing the flowers from your garden that you showcase in your home each Spring. Your photos made me smile. Your fusion quilt is looking wonderful. All those pretty fabrics are coming together nicely. Enjoy your stitching!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful flowers, Kim! Your gardener has a knack for growing them and you have a knack for photographing them. Your fusion quilt squares are fun to see with blue on one side and those cute Christmas prints on the other. Enjoy your stitching today!
ReplyDeleteI'm playing catch-up, reading both last and this week's posts today. You always bring joy with the photos of your glorious flowers, color-coded in a way that you have mastered. I was delighted to read that you will be vacationing at the beach with the whole family. What a fun time that will be. After an abbreviated autumn, we are headed into the cold and dark of winter, with our first snow (thankfully, not much) happening this weekend. The gardens have been put to rest, so scenes from your lovely place are much appreciated.

Seeing all your beautiful flowers makes me miss the warm days of spring and it seems such a long way away! Instead I’m constantly raking leaves. I’m looking forward to see this put together. Sarah quilting by the sea
ReplyDeleteOh, wow! So many flowers! We just finished putting the gardens to bed for the winter today, so this was a lovely thing to see on my computer. :-)
ReplyDeleteStunning pictures, you sure know how to capture the beauty of the flowers, plus having a gorgeous back drop to them, each one as beautiful as the next!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting to be so close to getting your quilt finished, I so love those fabrics you chose for it! Happy Spring!
