More EPP-ing And Woollying Around....Oh...And A Wee Bunny♡

Hello lovely lovelies; lovely friends♡ It's been a couple of weeks since I last chatted here at my autumnal little place. Autumn is floating by with each day becoming a little cooler. Mind you, I think today Autumn became decidedly more assertive if the bouts of pelting rain and gusty winds outside my sewing room window was anything to go by.  Old Man Sun is sleeping in later and is quicker to skedaddle to other places in the world earlier than I would like.  Sigh. How quickly the warmth of summer days fade away to be replaced with wee chilly mornings and brisk evenings. I imagine it won't be long till I'm sitting in front of a cosy fire enjoying hand quilting of the few quilts that are waiting in the wings. But not today. I wasn't in the mood for hand quilting today.

Daylight savings ended this weekend and though I love all the daylight hours that come with it, I must say it was lovely to awaken this morning to light streaming through the bedroom window.

What have I been up to while absent from blogland?? My good husband and I have been busy, busy, busy down here at the bottom of the world, but I have managed to enjoy a little hand stitching, and knitting for wee ones.

Since you last visited my little place I've stitched a few more Liberty stars. Alas, these haven't been stitched to the quilt as yet. Perhaps these Liberty pretties will be shining on the quilt this coming week.

This week I fashioned some Easter gifts for my sweet Riley. I knitted a vest dancing in colourful garter stitch stripes. Having had various coloured wools left over from a granny square top I crocheted last year, I used these. I love having scraps of wool left over from pretties I've fashioned in readiness for a new project. The vest is a Patons pattern but I deviated from the pattern. I wanted to gussy up the vest, just a wee bit. I knitted a frill dancing around the hem and crocheted a frilly neckline. I also crocheted two granny squares for pockets. The pockets were crocheted this morning for Slow Sunday Stitching. I must say, I love this little vest. It's colourful and very sweet.

I also stitched a wee bunny this week. I saw a photo of something similar on Pinterest, so I drafted a pattern and quickly stitched 'her' up. She's dressed in a pretty Liberty print, as are the back of the ears, and I embroidered the eyes and nose. Oopsie daisy.....wee bunny had better be careful as she just may trip over her overlong, floppy ears as she hoppity hops along. I'm quite sure Sweet Riley will keep an eye on her♡

I must say I enjoy fashioning wee children's pretties. They are always filled with fun and whimsy. Now to pick up the baby cardigan I was knitting before and get it finished. There are quite a few children pretties I will be designing and making over the next few months. A cubby house in the guise of a sweet cottage which will go over a table is building in my imagination. A cottage with see through windows, curtains, a front door, a pretty flower garden..........and who knows what else. =) Me thinks this will be perfect for sweet Riley's 2nd birthday. Have a lovely day, lovely lovelies; lovely friends. Sending you all a little love on this Sunday♡ My little light is shining a little brighter today as I've been watching thousands and thousands of people all over America protesting peacefully in unison, against the blatant evil and lawlessness of the Trump regime♡ I wonder, did any of you lovely lovelies join the 'Hands Off' protest in your town, your city??  Here's to People Power♡♡ Have a lovely week, lovely lovelies; lovely friends♡

Until the next time.......
