I too collect "pretties" from many odd places. My hubby was just asking me where something came this morning. I took a crocheted bed skirt and made a valance. I can't wait to show one of my friends your white chair that you did counted cross stitched flowers on. I too have read "The secret garden" many times. Another book I have enjoyed is "Blue Castle " by Montgomery. We thought spring was here this week but mother nature pulled a fast on on us last night with 2 inches of snow. Keep creating. Enjoy your writing and your sense of humor .Cindynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5720710250003549011.post-31098439962029023602018-03-29T05:40:50.369+11:002018-03-29T05:40:50.369+11:00Isn't it nice when our mothers called us a spe...Isn't it nice when our mothers called us a special name that no one else called us? I call my daughter Sammy, and when I asked her if she minded (everyone else calls her Sam), she said "no it's ok, but only you can call me that" :) My mother called me Twink (short for Twinkle Toes).

Oh, but your gorgeous sweater is a work of art. You always take something and make it truly magnificent Kim!! I love the robin's egg blue colour you chose, and it looks so snuggly warm and worthy of an autumn misty morning. I'm so glad you are finished it in time for your changing season. I love working on cables, but I have never tried something as involved as what you have worked on here. You have worked magic with those needles and yarn. Wonderful photos showcasing your beautiful sweater and your misty morning sunrises. And your pretty sweater - what a jewel. The pattern is divine and I can just see you wandering about in your garden in the lovely color. Your life is enchanted - and you are enchanting. We are still waiting about for a touch of spring - cold temperatures - lots of wind and rain and frosty morning - though things are beginning to peek through - tiny daffodils blooming on the deck - wild plum filling the woodland edges with puffs of white blossoms - catkins bursting out and forsythia painting everything bright yellow - now if we could just please have some warm weather - enough of this 45 degrees and wind and rain - please! But it is glorious to see the spring coming and the sun peeking through and making us smile, even as we shiver a bit. Happy weekend my dear - and have another cup of tea - I'm making cranberry pineapple bread this weekend, so stop over.JoAnn ( Scene Through My Eyes)https://www.blogger.com/profile/12621061028973446378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5720710250003549011.post-78473416282478171632018-03-23T22:05:40.710+11:002018-03-23T22:05:40.710+11:00Tea and knitting!
